Who are we my little dixie cup? A simple song for you, is all I have.

Went to the deer pile last night for an art showing and ended up listening to the dixie cup song by a band called pee- pee on a 7 inch, briefly! I felt inclined to share it as its been affecting me all day long. Any how, brought back a lot of good memories is all, enjoy!

The other night a friend of mine and I bought a few beers and hid in the corners of Five Points. We watched as this really sketchy drunk guy poured bleach all over a thin patch of grass, left the bottle on the ground, and then proceeded to drive off in his car with his hood still up.  All the while, I was trying to figure out how I could relate this incident to a blog post, the first band that came to mind was Abandin Pictures. Abandin Pictures, is great up and coming Denver band that I’ve had the pleasure to see a handful of times.  What separates them from most bands here in Denver, is their songwriting. Its like some bands will make a song travel through a washing machine, and then other bands take their songs and turn it into something the audience can actually grab onto. The song Thursday, is probably my favorite of all their songs they have recorded. Catchy guitar lines, wispy vocals, and movements that sounds like complex dreams.

Give them a listen to, like them on Facebook even:
